Michael Glenn will be reading from his new book Selected Stories, published by Gray Dove Press, at 7 pm on Friday, October 20, 2023 at The Roasted Granola Café, 1346 Massachusetts Ave., Arlington, MA.
With grit, honesty, and a nuanced awareness of relationships, Glenn writes scenes that bear witness to the changing world of the past half-century. His characters are prickly and difficult, caring and kind, young and old. His stories have appeared in The Hudson Review, The Antioch Review, and the anthology Young American Writers.
Selected from the many short stories the author wrote over his long career, while also working as a physician and psychiatrist, factory workers, and community activist, the stories trace characters from all walks of life.
The author will be signing copies of the book, and the cafe will be open to service delicious food and drinks.
